THE PSYCHIC ALLIANCE
Evil Against Evil
(Self Released)

It wasn’t the easiest process getting this album released, but the folks over at The Psychic Alliance persevered. The final result being an ostentatious mix of joy, anger, heartache and ... sea shanties. You’ll have a ball listening to this album. Running roughshod over the foundation of 60s psychedelia, they have seamlessly integrated the requisite angst of today’s life, the unwielding (is that even words?) facetiousness one has to employ to navigate these shifting seas and a fair dash of a red underbelly akin to quite a dangerous snake that resides in our Great Southern Land. Does that mean anything? Prolly not, so listen here and buy a vinyl there! It’s damn good.

PYRIT
Control
(Bookmaker Records)

The latest Pyrit jam from Bookmaker Records ‘Control’ has landed! Presented on glorious double vinyl in a super glossy gatefold sleeve, listeners should expect ‘a deep sonic maze in which electronic, glitch, kraut, dark ballads and dismembered techno collide. Think David Lynch, Portishead, Haxan Cloak etc.’

Beautiful!

SEABUCKTHORN
A house with too much fire
(Bookmaker Records)

Described as ‘lost somewhere between Jack Rose and Cave / Ellis movie scores’. Don’t think anymore needs to be said quite honestly. Spectacular and haunting in equal measure. Don’t delay, only have a few before I’m empty.
